Wurlitzer Custom Funmaker 555

A 1974 dual-manual analog home organ with Orbit III monophonic synthesizer — rescued from Craigslist, now getting a second life.

The Wurlitzer Custom Funmaker Model 555 is a dual-manual analog home organ manufactured circa 1974 by the Wurlitzer Company in De Kalb, Illinois. It combines a TOD (Top Octave Divider) organ architecture with an Orbit III monophonic analog synthesizer, a built-in rhythm section, Leslie rotating speaker, cassette deck, and reverb — all packed into a walnut console.

This site documents the ongoing restoration and MIDI conversion of one particular specimen, acquired free from Craigslist in Meridian, Idaho in March 2026.
